Real Madrid cruised to a 4–0 win over Valencia at the Santiago Bernabéu on Saturday, stretching their lead atop La Liga to seven points after 12 matchdays.

Kylian Mbappé scored twice in the first half, Jude Bellingham added a third before the break, and Álvaro Carreras capped the rout late in the second half, as manager Xabi Alonso’s side delivered a dominant performance.

Mbappé opened the scoring in the 18th minute from the penalty spot and doubled the lead in the 31st with a composed finish following a swift attacking move. Bellingham made it 3–0 just before halftime with a header in the 44th minute, continuing his impressive scoring run. Carreras added the fourth in the 82nd minute, sealing Madrid’s 10th win in 11 league games.

Madrid controlled the match with 66% possession and 18 shots, while Valencia managed just three attempts and 0.28 expected goals. Thibaut Courtois recorded five saves to secure his seventh clean sheet in nine matches.

Alonso praised his team’s “ruthless efficiency,” highlighting Mbappé’s impact: “He’s not just scoring; he’s elevating everyone.” The win avenged last season’s 2–1 loss to Valencia and pushed Madrid to 28 points, ahead of Villarreal and Barcelona, who both dropped points over the weekend.

The match also marked the return of 18-year-old Brazilian forward Endrick, who made his debut in the 70th minute after recovering from injury. His lively cameo nearly produced an assist, drawing cheers from the Bernabéu faithful.

Valencia, now 15th with five points, remain winless in six matches under new manager Carlos Corberán. “We had defensive lapses and couldn’t recover,” Corberán admitted, as his side prepares for a Copa del Rey fixture amid mounting pressure.

With 11 unbeaten league games and a potent blend of youth and experience, Real Madrid look increasingly like title favorites.
