Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck made their first joint red carpet appearance since finalizing their divorce in February 2025, posing together Monday night at the New York City premiere of the musical adaptation Kiss of the Spider Woman, where the exes demonstrated professional cordiality amid their shared history and the film's high-profile rollout.

Lopez, starring as the lead in the film executive-produced by Affleck through his Artist Equity banner with Matt Damon, dazzled in a silver structured gown from Harris Reed's spring 2026 collection, while Affleck, 53, opted for a classic suit.

The pair chatted amiably on the carpet, marking a public thaw since their 2024 split after a 2022 Las Vegas wedding—their second romance following a 2002 engagement that ended in 2004.

During the introduction, Lopez credited Affleck's support: "Thank you, Ben—this movie wouldn’t have been made without Ben and Artist Equity." She recounted discovering the script in bed, thrilled to "sing, dance, act, and be an old-time Hollywood movie star."

Affleck, speaking to press, praised the project's evolution from Manuel Puig's 1976 novel through Broadway and the 1985 film with William Hurt and Raúl Julia.Directed by Bill Condon (Chicago), the reimagining features Lopez alongside Diego Luna and Tonatiuh, blending Kander and Ebb's score with Terrence McNally's book.

Lopez reflected on filming amid personal turmoil: "It was a really tough time... Every moment on set I was so happy, then back home it was not great."

The premiere, post-Sundance 2025 debut, arrives as Lopez navigates post-divorce life, supporting each other's ventures and children from prior marriages. Kiss of the Spider Woman hits U.S. theaters October 10, a testament to their enduring professional bond despite romantic closure.
